Skybooth

Skybooth is a self-service photobooth platform: a customer walks up to a booth, pays, gets photographed and printed, with no operator standing behind it. More than 50 booth operators across Indonesia run on it.

It ships as a Windows application for the booth itself plus a centralised online dashboard: QRIS-integrated digital payments, automated photo capture and printing, frame customisation, and remote monitoring of booths the operator is nowhere near.

My work was rebuilding the application’s backend in Golang. The previous version was slow and error-prone; the rewrite improved performance and reliability and cut the error rate substantially, without interrupting the booths already in the field.
